What Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster?

The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is an awkward, crossbow styled Nerf Gun that fires with the draw back of the top action that primes the firing band. When you pull the trigger, The CrossBolt fires one Nerf Dart at a time out of the rear loading magazine that allows The Nerf Darts to fly even further though the barrel, for better accuracy. In case of jams, there are 2 jam doors to easily remove Nerf Darts.

With The Nerf CrossBolt Blaster, you get 12 Nerf Darts, a 12 Nerf Dart Magazine, the bow string and arms.

How To Use:

  1. Set Up The CrossBolt (Drawstring and Side Arms)
  2. Load/Insert The 12 Nerf Dart Magazine
  3. Draw Back On The Top Action To Prime (Pulls Back Drawstring)
  4. Pull Trigger To Fire 1 Nerf Dart At A Time
  5. Repeat Step 3 and 4 Until Step 2 Is Required Again!

Pros Vs Cons

Pros And Cons On A Nerf Gun

Pros:

  • Design
  • Jam Doors
  • Real CrossBow Action
  • Ammo Capacity

Cons:

  • Magazine Release
  • CrossBow Arms
  • Handle/Trigger

The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster has awesome, Real CrossBow Action that gives you the real feel of pulling back the strings and firing at your target. Not only do you get the feeling of a crossbow, but you get 12 Nerf Darts to shoot before reloading, allowing you to eliminate as many targets as you can before reloading. In case of any jams, you easily flip open the jam door where the Nerf Dart is located and remove it, then get back to action!

Now, The CrossBolt is awesome looking but the magazine release is on the stock part of The Nerf Gun, making it when every time you press it against your shoulder, you can release the magazine. Another thing is when you go to draw back on the top action to pull back on the string, the crossbow arms can get in the way making it a bit awkward. This final con is for larger handed Nerf Lovers, the handle and trigger are on the smaller side, making it a bit harder for firing.

Who Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster For?

The Nerf Elite Series is rated for ages 8+, however, I believe with proper safety and accuracy training anyone younger should be allowed Nerf Gun Fun too! Nerf Gun Fun For All!

When you want an awesome Crossbow Styled Nerf Gun that actually uses a draw string to fire, The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is what you want. Every time you drawback on the top action, you draw back the string and it locks into place for you to pull the trigger. Take out really anything you want, just make sure you fire smart, and don’t drop your magazine.

If you are a competitive Nerf Warrior who wants to eliminate everyone right away and declare victory, The CrossBolt is not for you. With the possibility of the clip falling out by hitting the release button on accident, and the awkwardness of the top action and the bow arms interfering with each other, I don’t recommend for Nerf Wars.

Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster Worth The Price?

Is it Worth It?

Before I Make Any Purchase, I Always Ask…

Nerf Guns are enjoyed by so many people with everyone having a different thought about how to use them. Some people are looking to defend themselves in the office, while others need protection from the neighbor kids. Every Nerf Gun has a purpose and style.

Depending on your style, if crossbow Nerf Guns are what you want and need more of, then The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is a necessity. Easily one of the coolest looking crossbow styled Nerf Guns, for just that reason, it is worth the price if you need it in your collection. Add on the real draw string and 12 Nerf Darts to fire at anything you want.

It really comes down to personal preference but I think The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is worth the price if you want crossbow styled and high ammo, but be careful in close situations, don’t drop your magazine!

My Final Opinion Of The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster

I am a pretty big fan of Nerf Guns, and I really like when you get a Nerf Gun that is different from others. With The CrossBolt, the band that you pull back with the top action, actually fires the Nerf Darts!

My final opinion of The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is that this is not meant for larger people, the grip is small and the trigger area is not that big. On top of that, the magazine release is on the stock where you would put your shoulder, or in any case, could get bumped and releases the magazine, leaving you defenseless.

If you are looking to impress your friends by having a Nerf Gun that is different but still functional to defend yourself, I say The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is a cool option but in Nerf Wars and other situations where you may find yourself dropping your magazine, I do not think it’s the best option.

  1. Hello,

Awesome article on the Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster!

I have been interested in purchasing this crossbolt but after I have read your article I might have to look at a different Nerf Gun.

I am just starting to get into collecting nerf guns. I have one questions for you. What would you suggest as a great beginner Nerf Gun?

    Thanks,
    Shawn

    1. Hey Shawn, The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is an awesome Nerf Gun, but for adults, the grip and trigger area is a bit small. If you were looking for a Nerf Gun that is similar to the CrossBolt, I would recommend The Nerf N-Strike Elite Retaliator. It is a very good Nerf Gun for many situations and can be used in Nerf Wars or any situation really. The CrossBolt has those awkward bow arms that stick out and make drawing back on the top action a bit more difficult.

If you do decide on a Nerf Gun, here at NerfGunRUs.com I have written many Nerf Gun Reviews to help you choose the right Nerf Gun for yourself!

I’m glad to see you interested, as always, Nerf Gun Fun For All!
