What Is The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike?

The Nerf AccuStrike Series is all about accuracy, with Nerf AccuStrike Darts that spin through the air when you fire them, making them fly more straight.

The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike is a bolt action, sniper styled Nerf Gun out of The AccuStrike Series. With The RaptorStrike and AccuStrike Nerf Darts, you are able to take much further, more accurate shots to eliminate any target you want. Snap on the bipod to the lower tactical rail, pick your spot to set up camp, pull back the side bolt action to prime, and wait for your target to come into sight!

Aim a little high, the Nerf AccuStrike Darts fly straight, but gravity is still a factor!

How To Use:

  1. Load 6 Nerf Darts Into Clip / Insert Into RaptorStrike
  2. Attach And Extend Bipod
  3. Pull Side Lever To Prime
  4. Flip Up The Target Scope / Lock Onto Target
  5. Pull Trigger To Fire 1 Nerf Dart
  6. Repeat 3-5 Until Reload Required

Pros Vs Cons

Pros And Cons On A Nerf Gun

Pros:

  • Long Range Firing
  • Accuracy (With AccuStrike Darts)
  • Ring Sights
  • Top Jam Door
  • “Storage Stock”

Cons:

  • No Scope
  • Magazine Release

The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike is awesome for taking those long range shots that only a sniper Nerf Gun can take, add on the Nerf AccuStrike Darts that spin through the air for more accurate firing. You get the most accurate shooting possible when you use the ring sights, but there is also the flip up sight that doesn’t make too much sense to go with a sniper Nerf Gun…

But, if you do happen to jam in any situation, there is a top jam door to easily free the jammed Nerf Dart and get back to firing! When you run out of Nerf Darts, you can easily grab your second Nerf Magazine out of the storage stock where it is easy to grab and swap out to get back into the Nerf Battle!

The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike has no scope… Snipers should have a scope, but instead there the flip up sight… On top of that, this may not be a big issue, the magazine release is in the trigger guard, instead of pulling back on the trigger to fire a Nerf Dart, you push forward to release the magazine, this is a con that is based on the user.

Who Is The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike For?

The Nerf AccuStrike Series is rated for ages 8+, However, I do believe with proper Nerf Safety and Accuracy training, anyone younger should be allowed to have Nerf Gun Fun too, I say Nerf Gun Fun For All!

When you need to fire from a long range to remain undetected by your target, then you need a sniper styled Nerf Gun, kind of like The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike. However, The RaptorStrike doesn’t have a traditional styled scope or anywhere to put a scope, you do get the extendable bipod that helps steady your shot, helping your accuracy.

If you are a competitive Nerf Warrior that is looking to dominate The Nerf War Zone and go annihilate the whole opposing team, then you shouldn’t be looking for sniper Nerf Guns, you should check out my list of fully automatic Nerf Guns.

If you are the complete opposite of the description above and you want to fire from a distance to remain undetected, so you never get shot at, then you should definitely consider The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike, like I said above, you don’t get a scope, but with The Nerf AccuStrike Darts, you have a pretty good chance of hitting your target and remaining undetected.

Is The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike Worth The Price?

Before I Make Any Purchase, I Always Ask…
Is it Worth It?

When you are buying a Nerf Gun, there are some things you should consider… How many Nerf Darts come with The Nerf Gun, How Does The Nerf Gun prime, does it jam repeatably?

The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike is really all it is talked up to be, except for the fact there is no way to add a scope and you are forced to use the pop up “target finder.” With The RaptorStrike you get 18 Nerf AccuStrike Darts, 2 Six Nerf Dart Magazines (Any Traditional Sized Nerf Dart), extendable bipod for steady firing, and the awesome feel of the bolt action every time you draw back to prime The RaptorStrike. And finally, no the RaptorStrike does not jam repeatably.

Yes, I Say The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike Is Worth The Price.

My Final Opinion Of The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike

When you want more accuracy from your Nerf Gun, you need Nerf AccuStrike Darts, they are compatible with any traditional sized Nerf Darts, however, these spin just like a real bullet does when one is fired through the air, giving a much more straight and accurate shot.

My final opinion of The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike is that this Nerf Gun is an awesome looking Nerf Gun that is sure to get noticed anywhere you take it. Not only does The RaptorStrike look cool, The RaptorStrike is one of the most accurate firing Nerf Snipers, The AccuStrike Nerf Darts do most the work, but the smooth bolt action gives you an awesome realistic feel that you want out of a Nerf Sniper, but you don’t get a scope… Sniper Nerf Guns need a scope…

The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike is a huge, awesome looking Nerf Gun that will fit nicely into your arsenal!

  1. It has certainly been a while since I have owned any Nerf products, however, this weapon looks awesome!

The thing that I think stands out to me the most would have to be the long range firing as well as the high accuracy.

I can however, see why you would think there should be a scope as it would provide easier aiming but I think after some time using the weapon, you may naturally get used to the flow.

My question is, which would you say is the most ideal amount of players in a Nerf gun battle that you think the AccuStrike RaptorStrike would be good for?

Like for example, out of 8 players, would you say this is good for 2 of the players as in one on each team?

    1. Hey Arie, There is never a better time to get into Nerf than the present, there are tons of great Nerf Guns that will help you get the edge over any enemy, all my reviews here at NerfGunRUs.com are meant to help you learn which ones will work best for you!

Long range firing is always a good thing to have on your side of a Nerf War for cover fire and easy eliminations while staying out of the direct line of fire, long range firing also works better with a scope, but as you said, “you may naturally get used to the flow” , with The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike, add the Nerf AccuStrike Darts and you should be able to catch on pretty quick to how the firing works.

A Nerf Battle and a Nerf War can be two totally different things, I like to tell people that a Nerf Battle has about 2-8 players, however, a Nerf War has an unlimited amount of players, but every player must be trustworthy, otherwise, the Nerf War can be a little tricky, just blast them enough times that they can’t argue the shot!

I recommend using The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike in a Nerf War where you can, pick a spot, set up camp, and make sure you have someone to cover your blind spot. Strategy is a big part of Nerf Wars, a new strategy can always overcome an old one!

Hope that answered your questions pretty well!

      Thanks,

  2. This looks killer! Long gone are my childhood days of a super-soaker, this think looks SERIOUS. The jam release is a great idea, I do remember the Nerf projectiles getting stuck occasionally just as you had the perfect shot. I didn’t realise Nerf had evolved so much or that it had become such a ‘thing’ that there’s actual Nerf wars.

    1. The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike is quite The Sniper Styled Nerf Gun. Those projectile jamming issues are a thing of the past with this bad boy. Of course if you use the wrong darts, anything can happen. The Nerf AccuStrike Darts are amazing, they spin while they fly through the air, making them so much more accurate!

If you are planning on getting in on a Nerf War anytime soon, I would consider bringing The RaptorStrike with you and sniping some enemy targets from a distance!

Awesome to see more people learning about Nerf!

  3. This is a serious looking Nerf Gun. I haven’t picked up a Nerf Gun in years but after seeing this, I might have to get one. It is crazy how even things like nerf guns are progressing like they are. Is there any other long range Nerf Guns that you would recommend? This was a very informative review, especially since I do not know much about Nerf Guns in the first place.

    1. Hey Logan! The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike means business, the look, the accuracy, and the Nerf AccuStrike Darts, make for long range shots to be made as accurate a possible. AccuStrike Nerf Darts, spin through the air as you fire them, making them fly straight. There is still Nerf Dart Drop so compensate for that, aim a little higher.

The other options for sniper Nerf Guns would be The Nerf Elite CS-6 that fires regular Nerf Darts, you can even use the AccuStrike Darts with the CS-6, then there is The Nerf Mega Centurion that fires Nerf Mega Darts from a distance. Nerf Mega Darts whistle/scream through the air when you fire them, not as accurate as the AccuStrike Darts, but very intimidating to have Nerf Mega Darts raining down on you, from who knows where!

I built NerfGunRUs.com to help people like yourself, get some knowledge on Nerf Guns, they are evolving and they are awesome! Would love to hear you get back into The Nerf Gun Fun! Maybe dominate some Nerf Battles and move onto Nerf Wars?!

  4. I love reading about these products. Nerf Guns are NOT just for kids!!!

Do you think a scope would actually be accurate at long distances with this Nerf Gun? If they did, it would have to be adjustable depending on the distance of the target you are aiming at.

Does the pop up target finder at least work reasonably well?

    1. Hey Ernest, I love how you think! Nerf Guns Are For Everyone! Nerf Gun Fun For All!

For adding scope attachments for better shots, I wouldn’t say the scope really helps all that much unless you have Nerf AccuStrike Darts, in that case, a scope attachment does make it a bit easier to see your enemy and narrow down your shot, but that is mostly personal preference.

The fact that the Nerf RaptorStrike doesn’t allow for any scope attachment, really kind of takes away from the sniper factor but with the pop up target finder, you can still get a sense of aiming with the side numbers (Tilt Up And Down), but once again that is mostly personal preference and the work of The Nerf AccuStrike Darts that allow for straight shots every time to help lock in on your target!

The Nerf AccuStrike Darts do most of the work, but The RaptorStrike can definitely send them a further distance!

Hope that was able to clear things up for you!

  5. What is the actual range on this gun? It seems like Nerf has stopped printing that on the box, and I’d like to know.

    1. Hello Stephen, The Nerf AccuStrike RaptorStrike is a great sniper especially when equipped with Nerf AccuStrike Darts. For the best accuracy, I recommend you keep your targets within 30-50 feet for a good sniper shot. Any closer you really shouldn’t miss. The RaptorStrike is capable of hitting targets of 80-90 feet; however, the accuracy really drops while you have to aim higher to fire further. The RaptorStrike is a true sniper, the distance you fire it is up to you.

Way to get the facts, that’s a great way to Get An Edge On Your Enemy!

      Awesome,
