What Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6?

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 is a sniper styled Nerf Gun that is very similar to The Nerf Zombie Strike ZED Squad Longshot CS-12 Blaster. The difference between the two is The Zombie Strike Longshot is meant to eradicate the zombie infestation with 12 Nerf Zombie Strike Darts, where The Elite Longshot CS-6 gives you 6 fewer shots but much longer range to take out any enemy from a distance.

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 is quick to load 6 Nerf Darts into the magazine, slam into the chamber and use the bolt action to fire 6 Nerf Darts at your enemy before they even see you!

Pros Vs Cons

Pros And Cons On A Nerf Gun

Pros:

  • Long Range
  • Quick Reload Clip
  • Adjustable Stock
  • Awesome Design

Cons:

  • Jamming Issues
  • Its Big

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 is one of the few Nerf Snipers that give you a long range edge on your enemy. The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6’s clip is one of the easier to reload and load back into the chamber to fire 6 more times. If you need a more stable shot, use the extendable stock to steady yourself, and Let’s face it, The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 is pretty awesome looking!

Now with The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 there have been a lot of jamming issues, I believe this to be wrong Nerf Darts, poor handling, or something in the chamber. I recommend checking out your Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 right out of the box, check inside the chamber make sure it is clear, then check the clip. The last thing is, this Nerf Gun is pretty big! This can be a pro and a con depending on the size of the holder!

Who Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 For?

The Nerf Elite Series is rated for ages 8+, however, I am a firm believer, that if you can teach the younger ones to fire safely and accurately, then they should have Nerf Gun Fun as well, Nerf Gun Fun For All!

Are you someone who likes to get in on the fun but not really one who wants to be dead center of the fun? Do you enjoy hanging out in the shadows and waiting for your target to walk into view before blasting them? How about just being able to fire at targets from a distance with an awesome looking Nerf Gun?

If yes to any of those questions, The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 sounds like it might fit into your arsenal nicely.

Now, are you a competitive Nerf Warrior looking to take out the enemy team before they even know what hit them? You will have 6 Nerf Darts to fire, then reload quickly to get 6 more Nerf Darts shot off. Cover your teammates, be the Sniper hero you always wanted to be with The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6!

Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 Worth The Price?

Before I Make Any Purchase, I Have To Ask…
Is it Worth It?

The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 is a sniper styled Nerf Gun that has an awesome look and is sure to make anyone jealous anytime you decide to use it and they can’t… There are only a few sniper styled Nerf Guns and I would say The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 is among the best, I would say The Nerf N Strike Elite Centurion is more powerful due to its Nerf Mega Darts that scream through the air when fired, but when combine with Nerf AccuStrike Darts, you end up with a much more accurate shot!

When you prefer the sniper style… You need a sniper Nerf Gun, the Nerf Elite Longshot CS-6 is definitely worth the price to anyone that wants to stay out of the direct line of fire. Think Smarter, Not Harder!

My Final Opinion Of The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6

When it comes to Nerf Guns, I think they are one of the easiest ways to have fun or really upset someone, make sure you try to have more fun moments than upsetting ones. I don’t think there are many more ways to instantly upset someone then to give them a Nerf Dart to the face when they aren’t ready, but when they are, that is another story!

My final opinion of The Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot CS-6 is when it comes to Sniper Styled Nerf Guns, The CS-6 is not a bad option. You get a Nerf Gun that has a BadA** look that you can quickly load up, find camp, set up your bipod, and take out any target that comes into your line of sight. When you are able to the sniper power of the Longshot CS-6 and combine it with Nerf AccuStrike Darts, you end up with a Nerf Gun that you don’t want to be on the opposite side of, your never safe with a Sniper around.

Some people love Snipers because they don’t want to be in direct line of fire. I say those people are smart, but when it comes to Nerf Gun domination, sometimes, other options are required!

  1. The Elite Longshot looks like an awesome toy for my nephews! I am totally adding this to their Christmas list. I might even have to snag a couple for me and the husband. The kids can’t have all the fun! But I think I’ll get a couple of The Nerf N Strike Elite Centurion Blasters for us adults!

    1. Hey Dani, your nephews will love The Elite Longshot CS-6, they can fire from anywhere they want and I thinks its a great idea to get yourself a Centurion, make sure you have the edge on them! I think more people need to get involved with Nerf, awesome way to have fun with the whole family!

      Nerf Gun Fun For All!

      Thanks,

  2. Hi, you’re one of only two Nerf reviewers that I really trust when it comes to this stuff. I only recently got into Nerf after my local toy store and discovering how much more advanced Nerf blasters are now compared to when I was a kid. I got an Elite Disruptor and loved it, but I felt it was time to make an upgrade to a bigger blaster. Not an easy decision considering the wide amount of options available, the prices of the blasters, etc. At the rough equivalent of 47 US dollars, I’m favoring this Toys R US exclusive Elite color repaint of this Longshot. I don’t feel I’ll ever get into actual Nerf battles and just want to use the blaster for funsies or cosplay purposes, and I feel that this blaster, as a two-in-one, rather awesome looking design, and a relatively inexpensive price, is drawing me in.

A few concerns I have though. One is the performance, which I hear isn’t particularly good partially because despite the recent repaint, the Longshot is still a relatively an old blaster, from the 2000’s if I’m not mistaken. The front barrel gun as a single shooter also seems rather inconvenient. With this being 2018, I’m not sure if getting a Longshot would be practical when there newer, more modern and stronger blasters out there. But on the other hand as I said, I’m not a hardcore nerfer and just want to goof around, just randomly blasting stuff or shooting targets. The Longshot is actually my next option after finding out that the Accustrike Raptorstrike being sold here (my first choice of a new blaster) is actually the Australian-distributed lemons. I see other stuff on the shelves like the Rapidstrike, Retaliator, Alphahawk, Tri-Strike, Hyperfire, and Surgefire, and they either don’t look appealing to me, are the battery blasters I don’t need, or are too similar to the Disruptor’s cylinder system I already have.

Will the utilization of the Accustrike darts help in any way making the blaster better? A lot of other review places I see seem to mention that only through modifications is this blaster any good, which I absolutely can’t and don’t want to do. Getting the 24-pack Accustrike darts will add an additional 11 bucks to my bill in addition to the Longshot. Is the Longshot a case of old but still gold, a good looking poor performer, or a relic of a bygone age?

    1. Hi Xalfrea, that really makes me feel awesome when you say I’m one of two Nerf Reviewers you trust! Nerf Guns are all awesome and over the years they have become much better with many more versions. For the repainted Longshot at Toy R Us, I’m not sure how much longer you would be able to get that one with them going out of business, this is why I prefer Amazon.com they always have a way to get a model. For your Elite Disruptor, I say good choice, The Disruptor and The Strongarm are pretty close but I like the look of the disruptor more, more intense look.

If you were do order one of the newest models of the Nerf Elite Longshot you shouldn’t be unsatisfied, you should get long range and a BadA** looking Nerf Gun that would work great with a cosplay costume. The RaptorStrike, Retaliator, AlphaHawk, Tri-Strike, HyperFire and SurgeFire are all great Nerf Guns too but it really depends on what you really want. I say the Longshot is your first pick, go with that. As for your question about Nerf AccuStrike Darts, I totally say they help out with accuracy, I mean if your Nerf Gun isn’t firing properly, it won’t fire anything, but if you are looking for more accuracy, AccuStrike Darts actually spin through the air and give a straighter trajectory.

I feel once you get your first Nerf Sniper like The Longshot, you will be growing your Nerf Arsenal in no time! 😉

Thanks for the comment and questions!

      Awesome,
