What Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire?

Nerf is always coming up with new designs for new Nerf Guns, but with The Nerf Elite RayvenFire, you get a discontinued Nerf Gun brought back from the discontinued graveyard. The original RayvenFire had an 18 Nerf Dart clip but other than that, oh and the paint… There is nothing different.

The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire is a semiautomatic motorized Nerf Gun that comes with a 10 Nerf Dart magazine, 25 Nerf Darts and the RayvenFire itself. There is always the option of upgrading your magazine to something larger, maybe a 25 Nerf Dart Drum?

How To Use:

  1. Remove Battery Cover
  2. Insert 4 AA Batteries / Close Battery Cover
  3. Load Magazine / Insert Into RayvenFire
  4. Find Your Target
  5. Hold Down The Bottom Rev Trigger
  6. Aim Where You Need
  7. Squeeze Firing Trigger To Fire 1 Nerf Dart
  8. Repeat 5-7 Until Enemy Eliminated Or Until Nerf Dart Depeltion
  9. Repeat 3-8

*Replace Batteries At First Sign Of Lack Of Power For Best Results And Extended RayvenFire Lifespan

Pros Vs Cons

Pros And Cons On A Nerf Gun

Pros:

  • Compact Design
  • Motorized Firing
  • 25 Nerf Darts Included
  • Attachment Areas

Cons:

  • Smaller Magazine
  • AA Batteries

The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire has a very compact design that loads the magazine behind the trigger for the ability to compress the overall design of the Nerf Gun, when you load the magazine behind the trigger, it allows for the internal barrel to become closer to the stock and shrinking the overall size. When you have a compact Nerf Gun, you can shove it in your shoulder and be ready for anything, be ready to turn and fire in any direction!

Since The Nerf Elite RayvenFire is motorized, you have to hold down the lower motor trigger to warm up your motor and continue to hold down the motor trigger as you pull the firing trigger over and over until you either run out of Nerf Darts or your target is just… OUT!

What is nice about the new RayvenFire is you get a good amount of Nerf Darts with your Nerf Gun, you only get a 10 Nerf Dart magazine, but with the ammo you get with your RayvenFire, you can load your magazine 2.5 times and take out a total of 25 targets… If your good! 😉

The front barrel allows for barrel attachments, maybe you aren’t a fan of the compact design, add the longest barrel extension possible! Then add on your top attachments, something like a scope or maybe a Nerf Missile Launcher to the top tactical rail!

On the con side, This New Version of The Nerf Elite Rayven only comes with a 10 Nerf Dart magazine compared to an 18 Nerf Dart magazine like the original. Plus I find AA Batteries to run out of juice the fastest so I put that as a con, but still a great power source for fast firing… Just not as long!

Who Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire For?

The Nerf Elite Series is rated for ages 8+, however, I love to say Nerf Gun Fun For All… As long as the younger ones can prove they are ready to use a Nerf Gun. If they can prove they can fire safely and accurately, you should be able to trust them. Parents, I say it is your job to put your kids to the test, make them prove themselves before they get what they want! You never want to lose the power either, so parents always get yourself a more powerful Nerf Gun, so you could be interested in The RayvenFire for yourself, this is a great way to keep the younger ones in check! 😉

Are you someone who missed out on the chance to own a RavenFire the first time around before it was discontinued? Here is your chance to get a “new” RayvenFire, you only get a 10 Nerf Dart Magazine this second go around, but upgrades are always available for a new N-Strike Elite Nerf Gun, there are 18 Nerf Dart Magazines available!

Close Combat is super easy with The Nerf RayvenFire due to its compact design and behind the trigger loading that allows for longer distance to travel through the barrel before entering its true flight path to the target you fired at. Shove the stock into your shoulder and be ready to pivot and fire, hold down the motor trigger and find your target, then pull that trigger over and over until your target is done!

Close combat situations can range from offices, to living rooms, to surprise attacks in the backyard. As long as you have your Nerf Darts loaded up, batteries fresh and mind locked on the mission, there should be nothing that can stop you from accomplishing the mission!

How many people can you get on your team with Elite Nerf Guns? The Nerf Elite RayvenFire will be sure to help accomplish the mission faster! Great Mission Leading Nerf Gun!

Is The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire Worth The Price?

Is it Worth It?

Before I Make Any Final Decision, I Always Have To Ask…

With any motorized Nerf Gun, I always say you get your moneys worth, you get to fire Nerf Darts as fast as you can pull the trigger, I mean there are other options that do the same thing without the motorized feature, but when you get a motorized Nerf Gun that was brought back to the Nerf Elite Line Up, there has to be some reason!

If you find that the new 10 Nerf Dart magazine that comes with The RayvenFire to be just a bit shy of enough Nerf Darts, go ahead and upgrade your magazine, the original RayvenFire had an 18 Nerf Dart Magazine, I say get a 25 Nerf Dart Drum! If that’s not enough to satisfy your hunger for disaster, I can only tell you to check out The Mega Series! 😉

When you have a Nerf Gun that gets discontinued and brought back without much of a design change, you know you had a good Nerf Gun to start with. The original RayvenFire can still be bought but for an outrageous price… Check The Price Page For More Info…

The new “redesigned” RayvenFire lets you fire 10 Nerf Darts at your target, reload, fire some more and make sure your target is eliminated… Never leave a target behind!

So with the “NEW” design, same old semiautomatic motorized firing that lets you wipe out groups of enemy targets especially if you upgrade your Nerf Magazine to something like a drum, easy to aim stock, barrel ready for attachments, and the extra barrel length from the magazine loading behind the trigger…

Yes, I Say The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire Is Worth The Price!

My Final Opinion Of The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire

One of the biggest arguments in the Nerf Community is Battery Powered VS Pump Action, one is solely dependent on batteries but wrecks every time, while the other is always available but requires effort to make each shot. Do you argue to keep your batteries charged or keep your arms in shape?!

Anyways… My final opinion of The Nerf N-Strike Elite RayvenFire is this Nerf Gun was brought back to The Nerf Elite Line Up for a reason. Anytime a Nerf Gun is discontinued and brought back is because there was a lot of outraged users who were not able to get themselves one in time. With The RayvenFire, you can still get the original but for so much more money, while the only difference is, the original has an 18 Nerf Dart magazine and the new RayvenFire only comes with a 10 Nerf Dart Magazine. My biggest resolution to this issue, is to just buy another Magazine, a larger one, possibly a 25 Nerf Dart drum!

The RayvenFire fits nicely and feels good pressed up against your shoulder which makes turning and firing easier than ever, when you have your motor warmed up, all it takes is a turn and trigger pull, a lot of trigger pulls, make sure you finish off your enemy!

If you are an attachment fan, you have the option for a top attachment, something like a scope or something that will help you win the Nerf Battle, there’re tons of attachments, on top of that, you can find yourself a barrel attachment for a longer barrel and improved firing, maybe even a Nerf Mega Dart Attachment?!

Overall, I am glad they brought back The RayvenFire as a great way to Get An Edge On Your Enemy!

  1. This looks like a fun little gun!

When you say close to mid range, what does that look like in feet? I’m assuming something like 4-20 feet?

Also, any idea how long a new set of AA will last with this gun? It seems like other guns my kids have used totally eat AA batteries. They don’t last very long!

    Thanks for the great review!

    1. The Elite RayvenFire is actually quite the little Nerf Gun, little compared to other Primary Nerf Guns, but not too little like some other Nerf Pistols! When I say close to mid range, I’m talking a direct shot within 5-25 feet, if you have a clear shot and you are within the firing perimeter, unload your RayvenFire in seconds and make sure your target is ELIMINATED!

AA’s are not my favorite way to power a Nerf Gun, but when you need to keep The Nerf Gun light weight, AA’s are the way to go. Everyone fires a little differently, if you are holding down the motor trigger and firing nonstop, be prepared to change batteries often, however, if you are a conservative and only fire when you need to, your battery life should definitely last at least 5 to 15 Nerf Battles, easy. The biggest advice I can give about the batteries for The RayvenFire… When you first hear a lack of power, replace the batteries, save your RayvenFire and keep the shots powerful!

      Hope this answered your questions!

  2. Hi Kenny,

Wow! This Nerf Gun looks so fun. My boys love Nerf Guns and occasionally I join in on the fun as well. I am just concerned about battery life, because in reality I know we wouldn’t have the self control to only press the trigger when we need to. I wonder if trying reusable batteries would help with not feeling like were buying new batteries all the time.

    1. Hey Susie, awesome to hear you and your boys are active Nerf Users. With your question about trying rechargeable batteries, I say that is a great idea, especially with AA batteries. However, it isn’t that hard to take your finger off the motor trigger, got to stay quiet sometimes! 😉

AA’s aren’t my favorite power source, but when it comes to being light weight, they are the preferred choice. Nerf actually has rechargeable battery packs for some of the larger Nerf Guns like The Nerf Rival Nemesis, but they need to come out with a smaller one for the smaller Nerf Guns like The RayvenFire, but removable rechargeable AA’s are a smart idea on your behalf!

      Great Question Susie!

    1. Great Question Theo, I like to describe a Nerf Battle as 1 on 1 Nerf Action or 2v2 but no more than 4v4, once you get into the 5v5 area or more, now that is a Nerf War! Ever hear the saying, “You May Have Won The Battle, But You Haven’t Won The War!” if you lose a Nerf Battle, come back with your teammates to Win The War!

Nerf Wars can be huge, but Nerf Battles can be epic!
